WELCOME!

If we had it our way, we would all be somewhere in Italy eating pasta and drinking wine, and getting married in 2020. But then coronavirus and since our parents have been patiently waiting for a ceremony, we’ll be honeymooning there instead...in like 5 years hopefully.

We hope you can celebrate with us in another one of our favorite locations, the desert!

Where there will be plenty of food, booze and dance moves!

We are excited to be moving forward with our April 2021 wedding! We are doing our part to remain in constant communication with our vendors for necessary safety protocols. We appreciate everyone remaining careful and healthy leading up to our wedding. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Loren and Dustin.

Please be sure to check back here frequently as we continue to make updates about our wedding.

HOW IT ALL WENT DOWN

I ASKED, SHE SAID ARE YOU FOR REAL?!

I had been planning this for months, with the ring in my safe (which Loren doesn't have access to) since January. I decided that proposing on her birthday would work best because she wouldn’t expect that from me. So I told her that I was taking her out of town for her birthday because she had been very stressed out at work.

L: He kept talking about going away for my birthday and I would groan every single time he brought it up, because I “didn’t have time” and we were planning to host our first Easter with our families which fell on my birthday weekend.

D: Which was all part of my plan! Because then we were able to celebrate with the entire family on Easter.

L: I eventually stopped my whining because, well, he had already booked the hotel.

D: On the day of her birthday we hopped in Loren’s car with Henry in tow. I had to try and play it cool while I was stressing out the entire time.

L: I freaked out because we couldn’t decide on a dog friendly location to eat brunch (typical).

D: Yea, the whole proposal was almost off because we couldn’t find her eggs.

L: Champagne and eggs were finally procured and I was happy again.

D: When we went to try to check into our hotel that I had called ahead of time to let them know we’d be arriving early, we ended up getting extra late check-in.

L: They gave us free drink coupons, so I didn’t really understand why he was getting so frustrated. We eventually made our way to the pool to enjoy the gorgeous Santa Barbara weather and more cocktails.

D: Things were not really going as planned.

L: While at the pool, I suggested we find a fun happy hour spot before heading to dinner.

D: That was also not part of the plan! So I suggested we take Henry for a walk on the beach before dinner and bring a glass of wine with us.

L: That works too!

D: We’re back on plan!

L: After being at the pool and now heading down to the beach I didn’t really care to do my hair or do a ton to myself to get ready.

D: Fantastic! She has no idea.

L: I have no idea…

D: So we head out for our walk on the beach, I see a bunch of tractors pushing sand around…this was not part of the plan.

L: For no reason at all, I suggested we go left (towards the tractors) and Dustin insisted we go right.

D: We go as far as we can from the tractors where I can talk and it’s not loud. I started telling Loren how much I love her and how happy she makes me. Then proceeded to get down on one knee.

L: Cue the water works!!!

D: I asked if she would marry me

L: And all I could keep saying was “Are you for real?!” “It’s so freaking pretty!!”

D: I had to ask her again if that was a yes?

L: Absolutely yes!!!!

GETTING THERE

QUESTIONS?

WE HOPE WE CAN ANSWER THEM HERE FOR YOU...

Q: Why the new date?

A: We think it's pretty self explanatory, but...with the health and safety of our loved ones being of utmost importance and so much uncertainty still looming, we thought it would be best to postpone the big celebration to the Spring. We're remaining hopeful that we'll all feel much more comfortable and be able to safely gather next year.

Q: Okay, but why did you guys pick a music festival weekend?

A: Well, as we all know and especially learned in 2020, things don't always go according to plan. Exciting news...Coachella has officially been cancelled. Now, it's LOCHELLA! Also, it was the ONLY date our venue gave us and by some God given miracle, every single vendor of ours is available for the new date! So George Banks' pocket book is safe for the time being.

Fun Fact: Many of you might know that Loren's birthday is April 18th and Dustin proposed to her on her birthday in 2019. So, together they felt this one option was a bit serendipitous.

Q: Am I still invited to the new date?

A: Yup! You all should have received a new save the date and your invitation. At this time we're hoping we get to celebrate with each and every one of you. If anything changes, we'll be sure to let folks know.

Q: How and when do I RSVP?

A: Please mail your RSVP card that was included with your invite back to us by March 17th. However, during these times we understand if you need to change your RSVP later. If you come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID or you begin feeling sick yourself the weeks leading up to our wedding, please let us know right away. We will miss you, but we will understand!

Q: What is the parking situation?

A: There is limited parking in the neighborhood around the venue. Uber and Lyft is suggested and strongly encouraged. Keep in mind the venue is located in Cathedral City, about 15 minutes away from downtown Palm Springs. If you choose to drive, please park outside of the pink gate.

Q: What time should I get to the venue?

A: The ceremony will be starting promptly at 4:00 PM, so please arrive early to find a good seat and enjoy a glass of welcome champagne!

Q: Can I take pictures?

A: We are requesting NO phones are present at the ceremony. We have two incredible professional photographers and videographers who will be capturing the special moment. We invite you to be fully present with us. Please don’t ruin the magic by sitting behind a phone screen! Our lovely photographers and videographers will get much better shots this way too. Plus you don’t want to be this person and tick off the bride...nobody likes an angry bride!

The reception, however, is yours to shoot! Take as many photos as you’d like to remember the food, awesome dance moves, or the bride’s tears! #BoykoBash

Q: Are kids welcomed?

A: Although we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult only event. We appreciate you making prior arrangements and leaving the kids at home to ensure you have a fun and stress-free celebration with us!

There will be a select few special little ones there: Loren’s adorable flowers girls!

Q: What’s on the menu?

A: Tacos! It will be buffet style with PLENTY of options for our guests and all safety protocols in place with the catering and serving staff! If you’ve got any dietary restrictions you feel we need to be aware of, let us know as soon as possible.

Q: Open bar?

A: Duh!

Q: What’s the weather and venue going to be like?

A: Lucky for us the weather in Palm Springs in April is equally comparable to October and is historically amazing! Typically ranging from 85-95 during the day and 65-75 in the evening. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors and the venue boasts lots of grass. Ladies, please plan your shoe selection accordingly.

Q: Do I get a plus one/Can I bring a date?

A: Please refer to your formal invitation and how it is addressed. If it is addressed to you and another person, then yes. However, if it is addressed to just yourself then there is only one seat reserved in your name.

Q: Is there a dress code?

A: Please dress in cocktail formal attire. Men should wear a suit and tie. Women can go with a chic cocktail dress, fun jumpsuit or long dress.

Ladies - have you heard Loren talk about Rent the Runway? So much so, they made her an RTR Ambassador. This is a fun time and great excuse to give it a try! Check it out, they have awesome options and you can use Loren's special code: RTRFAM533C377 to receive $100 off RTR's 2-Swap Program.

Q: Why the heck Palm Springs?

A: We LOVE Palm Springs! It’s one of our favorite destinations to get away to.

Fun Fact: Loren and Dustin exchanged their first “I love you’s” to each other in Palm Springs. Can you guess who said it first?
